Hot Water Bottle Tips

Hot water bottles can be used to soothe sore muscles.

Rubbing alcohol, I think, is very good for sore muscles combined with a warm bath you'll feel like new. (efleischer)

For a quick fix for sore and aching muscles that need heat, take a towel, wet it, wring it out well then place it flat inside a plastic bag, such as a garbage bag, size depending on size of towel. Fold up garbage bag (with towel inside) so that it is a square, place in microwave oven and set heat on high. Leave in for about 1 or 2 minutes depending on size of towel. Then apply where needed and feel the soreness melt away!! When it cools off just put in microwave again. If you need a cold pack you do the same but put in fridge for 1/2 to 1 hour, or freezer for 1/4 to 1/2 hour, and apply. (anon)
