______
If you make the same thing alot (for example; pizza sauce) purchase double the spices and keep them in a small plastic bin. Write on top of the jar how much goes in your recipe. When you make the item just grab the bin, forget the recipe and don't worry about having to find all those little spice containers in your jumbled pantry! (Christy)

______
When refilling salt or pepper shakers, first cover the top opening with a small piece of plastic wrap, then when it is turned over to fill up, the salt does not pour out. (Cyndy M.)

For storing garlic bulbs: make sure you keep them spread out (so the air can get to them) and keep them in a cool, dry, dark area. You can clean all of the garlic, place it in a glass jar, and cover with it olive oil. They will keep indefinitly and, not only will the oil help the your pet to have a shiny coat, but you can use the garlic in your favorite recipes, as well. (jodie_b)

______
Zap garlic cloves in the microwave for 15 seconds and the skins slip right off! (Amy)

______
Dried Herbs and spices lose their potency quickly. Buy only a small amount at a time. When using fresh herbs an spices, use 3 times the amount of the dried.

______
If you buy a bunch of fresh herbs (parsley, mint, coriander etc.) and do not use it all, wash and chop the remainder and keep it a plastic container in the freezer - Instant fresh herbs when you need them. (Anne)
