Brown Sugar Tips
By Wendy Shepherd
Jan 15, 2007, 19:32

Lots of people have come up with great ways to store brown sugar. But the best way I have found is to simply seal it up when finished and place it in the refrigerator. Also keep red spices like cajun, paprika in the refrigerator as they last longer when doing so.

______
Stick a piece of bread in with the brown sugar to keep it from getting hard. You can also store it with an apple, but the apple rots too quickly. The bread lasts longer and should be switched out often.

______
If you ran out of brown sugar, make your own by taking 1 cup of white sugar and mixing it with 2 tablespoons of molasses.
