For traveling, use ziploc bags for anything that may leak, such as shampoo, lotion, etc.. This way if anything does leak clean up will be minimal. Just make sure the bag is completely closed.

I dislike when I have to put dirty shoes in my suitcase with my clean clothes. Solution is to cover the shoes with socks, preferably old socks.

Photocopy everything in your wallet/purse so if you ever lose the wallet/purse you will have the exact information.
