1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup wheat germ
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup water
Glaze:
1 large egg
2 Tablespoons milk
Preheat the oven to 275°.
In a large bowl: combine the flour, oatmeal, wheat germ,
peanut butter, vegetable oil, honey, baking powder and water.
Mix until thoroughly combined.
Roll the dough out to a ½-inch thick on a lightly floured
surface. Cut into desired shapes and place on baking sheets.
In a small bowl, mix together the egg and milk. Brush the
glaze on the biscuits.
Bake for 40-50 minutes or until biscuits are golden and firm.
Kitty Treats
1 Can tuna packed in oil
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 cup powdered milk
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup eater
Preheat oven to 350° F.
In large bowl, mash the tuna with oil. Add flour and milk
and mix well. Fold in beaten eggs.
Roll out on lightly floured surface and cut into bite-
sized pieces.
Place treats 1" apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes. Turn treats and bake 10 more
minutes, or until golden brown.
Cool completely and store in the refrigerator in an
airtight container. Allow treats come to room temperature
before serving.
If you have a friend who has a special pet, have fun
and surprise him this year with a gift for his pet.
Fill a jar with some of these homemade treats and tie
a bandanna around the top. When the treats are gone,
the pet can wear the bandanna!
