Fireplace Tips
By

If you ran out of those long matches for the fireplace, etc. why not use a piece of spaghetti? It works well for a substitute.

______
Tips below provided for Fire safety from our local Vigilant Hose Company of Emmitsburg, Maryland:

1) Clean your fireplace regularly and have the chimney cleaned and inspected every year.

2) Use a screen around the fireplace to protect your home from popping embers.

3) Extinguish the fire before you go to sleep. Place embers in a closed metal container on a fire-proof surface.

4) Never start a fire or try to revive one with gasoline or other flammable liquids.

5) Trim tree branches back at least 10 feet from your chimney.
